So I'm sitting here in economics, learning basically nothing about GDP--if I miss anything I can get it all from the book before the final. And to think that the teacher offered all of us an A- grade if we all opt out of the final...stupid selfish people that won't ruin their precious 4.0 GPA...sickening. It means I actually have to do well in this class. So frustrating. Luckily I have no tests this week and only one test before finals. Too bad along with that goes several papers and presentations. Anyways I was just bored reading people's blogs and figured I'd write something just to pass the time..not that anyone else will read this haha.
I've only posted once and it was in September when I probably wanted to roll over and die or just move to Australia. I'm kind of to that point again. Maybe not in exactly the same way but pretty close. Dreams, conversations, and happenings not directly involving me are making things so confusing and frustrating. It's hard to not read into every little thing that happens. In our apartment there is one with an RM boyfriend, one with a boyfriend who has his mission call, one who wants this boy to ask for her number, one who wants a boy but he kind of wants someone from his past, and then there's me who doesn't really know what I want and another who just wants a boy. We are just a representation of the kinds of love lives (or lack of) that exist at BYU. We're just missing engaged and married.
I leave for DisneyWorld in less than 40 days. I can't wait to get out of here. BYU just passed Harvard as the most popular university in the nation, as reported by US News and World Report. And I go here. Yippee. Too bad I didn't even want to go here in the first place :P Hopefully DisneyWorld does me some good and maybe I'll actually be ready to come back by the end of the summer...we'll see what happens.

Hello BYU
I've been moved into my dorm for about a week now and, surprisingly, I've adjusted pretty well pretty fast. I got lucky and really love all of my roommates--everyone respects everyone else and almost always cleans up after themselves. It's working out really well. I am, however, the only one in the dorm who either a) doesn't have a steady boyfriend or b) has boys coming over on a fairly regular basis. Loser? Probably. I've met a few cute guys on campus but honestly...I would prefer a lot of the boys I went to dances with in high school to even some of the cuter returned missionaries I've met in various classes. I like about half of my classes and the other half...well I don't hate them...they just aren't my favorite. I'm really surprised how much I'm enjoying my accounting class and I'm just hoping it stays that way because from what I've heard it becomes a pretty difficult one. And with being one of the only freshman in the class, I hope I can make it through. It is getting me extremely excited for my major though--that's a plus.
While I was so excited to move out and be living somewhere other than under my parents' roof, I miss it. Actually I mostly miss high school, as embarrassing as that might be. I miss being around everyone all day, going to events on a regular basis, knowing that I can see all of my friends without having to make some special trip. I feel out of the loop--like I don't know what's going on anymore and like I'm missing out. It's a weird feeling. And there's that ever-present sense of not knowing what's going to happen now that I've left my world of American Fork High School and have moved on to Brigham Young University. I love it--I absolutely love BYU. It's just not the same. And little things like watching "The Notebook" and listening to simple songs make me think of people, events, places, and memories that make me hurt sometimes...not knowing what'll happen concerning any of it. Or if anything will ever happen. It's hard to say.
So I just remind myself...we'll see what happens.
